Cardone University has been Grant’s most well-known product/course for some time now. It’s intended to take anyone, regardless of experience level, to the level of a rock star salesperson.

It is Grant’s most expensive product but is it worth it?

I love Grant and I’ve been following him for about 7 years now, around the time that he released the world renowned book The 10X Rule.

I love me some Uncle G but I must say that he isn’t my only mentor when it comes to sales.

When did I first learn of Grant Cardone?

It was back in 2012 when I was a part of a network marketing company. At this time I was all about personal development and I came across a fiery, energetic personality. It was Grant.

Grant’s book, The 10X Rule, has been instrumental in the success I’ve seen in my own business. He’s a big reason that I was able to achieve my first goal of $10,000/mo with my lead generation biz.

I would listen to the 10X audiobook on a regular basis. I had it on a loop when I was at the gym and in my car. I have him to thank for keeping me motivated and instilling a willingness to hustle all the time.

I have a fascination with mentors who are blunt. I want people to tell me that it’s going to be hard, but it’s what sets you apart from others. I don’t want it sugarcoated. Tell me how hard I have to work to achieve what I want. I respect that.

The thing that sets Uncle G apart in the personal development world is while all these other mentors are pushing mindset and visualization, Grant pushes the need for massive action.

If you take more action than others, you’ll see more results than others. Period.

We can all relate to this because no matter what industry you’re in or what experience level you have, you can take it all out of the equation. Nothing trumps hard work and massive action according to Grant.

I got into the lead gen biz and immediately began to apply Grant’s teachings and I was able to quit my full time job only 3 months in. Why? I did take massive action.

I knew that I didn’t have the experience of others but I also knew that no one was going to outwork me.

Cardone University Overview

Cardone University is the high ticket item that his company offers. It’s the product that they want you to purchase in the end. Cardone’s mission is to sell this sales training to individuals or entire sales teams.

Grant is known for saying he want to be synonymous with sales and this is the training that he claims to be the best in the world.

Honestly, this course is packed with value. It covers everything from goal setting, motivation, handling objections and much much more.

On top of that Grant does a fantastic job of adding new content consistently to keep things fresh.

IMO it’s very cool that he basically hands over a library of information that covers many topics and makes it available to you whenever you need it. It allows you the ability to revisit the information at any time.

There’s a stat out there that says you only retain 10% of what you read.

For that reason, a book should be read 6-10 times before it becomes a part of you.

In addition, a lot of people learn better in audio or video format (myself included), and the fact that Grant gives you the ability to do this inside his training is a huge plus.

It gives you the feeling that you’re working more closely with him than you really are.

If you’ve followed Uncle G at all then you know how crucial it is to be good at sales. He beats it into your head and for good reason.

If you’ve just come across Grant then I would really recommend you check out his book, The 10X Rule. It’s value packed and has information you can implement in your life immediately.

I particularly enjoy the audio version because Grant reads it to you and you can feel his energy.

Even inside of Cardone University he does a really good job of teaching you about things that can be implemented immediately, no matter what you’re selling.

Once you’ve read The 10X Rule you’ll begin to understand how hard Grant works and the basic principles that got him to where he is today.

Even if you implement the core values from the book and do them consistently you’ll see pretty quick results.

When you’re consciously pushing yourself 10X everyday, you’ll begin to notice how much more you can get done.

Cost of Cardone University

As I’m writing this in 2019, Grant recently came out with a monthly membership of $100 for individual use. It’s more than that if you own a business and are purchasing it for a sales team.

This is a limited time offer and according to Grant it will be going away in the future. That’s to be seen.

For some time now the price has been $9,995 per year.

If you use his material consistently and absorb as much as you can then there is no reason you can’t make up for the large price tag.

This is contingent on the fact that you’re doing high ticket sales.

IMO you should be involved in a business that allows you to do over $10,000/mo.

Are There Any Holes In Grant’s Training?

Listen, I love me some Uncle G. I really do. But I can’t give him sole credit for my sales ability and overall success in entrepreneurship.

I want to list a handful of things that I’ve learned from other mentors along the way:

• Jordan Belfort taught me that vocal tonality is crucial in sales
• the importance of positioning from Dan Lok
• how rock solid copywriting gets people to take action – Dan Lok and others

Cardone University is a more broad training. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It covers many more topics than these other courses.

It’s built for anybody that prospects and sells a product or service. It deals with face to face and phone sales.

Enter, my co-favorite mentor, Gary V. Like Gary says, in today’s age of the internet, every business on the planet needs to take control of their online marketing. Build a brand that sells itself.

It’s important to remember that the sales process sometimes starts before you talk to a prospect. The moment they visit your website or see your content on social media, the sales cycle starts.

For that reason, personal branding and ranking website have been crucial to me when building and scaling my business by closing deals.

IMO Dan Lok does a tremendous job of combining great traditional sales tactics with some more modern internet age strategies that are being used by great online marketers.

There’s no doubt that you can still get amazing results by using traditional sales processes. I still do it sometimes today. But everyone needs to be thinking about building a personal brand and the use of attraction marketing.

If I could recommend one change to Cardone University, it would be to add a lot of content that revolves around sales in the digital space.

In Conclusion

Overall, I have to say that Cardone University is a very extensive sales training. I think it’s awesome that Grant gives out certifications when you complete different segments and course modules.

These certifications can be used to show off to your existing or future employers. Grant’s program is very well known so this as the potential to go a long way.

Grant’s main objective is clear. He wants to turn you into a lion that hunts sheep and not the other way around.

Grant has a fiery personality and that often leads people to believe that he’s a big high-pressure sales type of guy but that isn’t the truth. He’s all about listening to the customer more than talking to the customer.

It’s absolutely important to know how and when to apply pressure in a sales call. It’s needed but Grant goes over how and when to do it.

The whole reason you apply pressure in a sales call is to assist people in overcoming those limiting beliefs. You’re helping people make better decisions.

Understand this, if you ethically believe that you’re product or service can solve a problem for them then not closing the deal would be doing more harm than closing it.

It’s important to be confident and also ethically sound in sales so you can be comfortable selling your product or service daily.

If I could thank Grant for anything, it would be for helping me to love sales.

Many people are afraid to sell because it’s uncomfortable but that’s only because they’re unprepared.

Selling your product or service to a business owner that needs what you have has the potential to change someone’s life in ways they can’t see.

Sales drives the world. Period. Great sales people deserve every single dollar they make because they bring incredible value to the world.

I love sales because it challenges me consistently. You never want to get comfortable and sales doesn’t allow you to. Sure I fail a lot but that’s okay because I’m always growing from it.

Entrepreneurship is all about great communication and problem solving and that’s what sales is.

I’m a firm believer in consistently investing in skills that can make you money. Not only does it have the potential to grow your bank account but it also grows the confidence level you have in yourself.

Financial confidence is an incredible thing. Have you ever heard of someone rich and wealthy losing all their money only to make it back again? Yeah, that’s not a coincidence.

It’s called financial confidence. Those people have skills that they have complete faith in. Skills that not many others possess that make them money consistently. They can take your money, but they can’t take your skills or your knowledge.

Plenty of people fail in business ventures because they haven’t developed what I call a high income skill. This is defined by a skill that can make you at least 10k/mo.

Continuing to learn these skills are crucial as an entrepreneur because business always as highs and lows but if you’re always developing and mastering new skill sets then you income trajectory continues to rise.

IMO passive income is a myth. It doesn’t exist. If you’re not growing, you’re dying.

The Warren Buffet’s and Mark Zuckerberg’s of the world could’ve shut it down a long time ago but nope they’re still working hard every single day.

People like this continue to challenge themselves daily and grow to heights they’ve never been before.

Let’s think about it on a human level. Some of the best times of our lives are when we’re accomplishing goals. It makes us feel happy and worthy. There’s an adrenaline rush that comes along with accomplishing things you’ve never done.

That’s not accomplished by being passive.

You cannot sustain success passively because the competition in your field or industry is continuing to grow.

IMO the real secret to getting rich is the constant hunt for growth and overcoming challenges.

Closing sales at a high level is absolutely a high income skill. That becomes even more true when you’re an entrepreneur.

Honing my sales skills has played a critical role in my ability to grow my local lead generation business that’s now bring in several tens of thousands of dollars for me every month.

It all started back in 2014 for me when I came across my mentor. I learned one of these high income skills and for me it was generating leads by utilizing free traffic.

First we will clear up what network marketing is. It’s a company that uses it’s distributors and customers to do most if not all of the marketing for the company.

These distributors or promoters do this for a commission that’s paid by the company.

The reason people refer to it is “multi-level” or “network” marketing is because you’re recruiting people to your network (or team) which allows you to earn commissions on multiple levels.

Essentially, you recruit people, they recruit people, then they recruit people. You get it. You’re creating a huge network of distributors that make money for you.

But Isn’t That A Pyramid Scheme?

I was a part of a network marketing company several years back so I have a unique understanding of the misconception of pyramid schemes.

In most cases, there is nothing wrong with an MLM business. The difference between this and a pyramid scheme lies in the product being promoted.

In the eyes of the federal government, a network marketing business has to be promoting a product for money and not recruiting people for money.

If you’re selling memberships for money, that is when it becomes a pyramid scheme.

The concept of network marketing was born in the 1930s by an entrepreneur named Carl Rehnborg. He designed the compensation/marketing plan for a supplement company that he owned.

The idea is that as long as people are paying money for valuable goods they receive, then any money paid out to distributors can’t be held against the company.

Companies can’t just be selling a business opportunity that only rewards the members who joined before a new recruit.

Network marketing companies can have their popularity surge very quickly.

Let’s do a simple breakdown of how these companies work.

1. The network marketing company has either a physical product or digital product that they’re selling/promoting
2. A business opportunity is attached to the promotion of the product. A member can be a promoter or seller of the products offered by the company and they’re compensated in return
3. The affiliates are compensated for the sales that their members make as well. In addition to the sales that the affiliates make themselves

The compensation may only be handed out for the sale of the actual product.

The key is that there is actual value being traded for money.

There are many network marketing companies that have and continue to walk a fine line. Many of them even get shut down by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) while an investigation is done only to be reopened.

Most times it results in a damaged reputation for the company.

It often leads to their distributors leaving for another MLM or business opportunity because these people have their income taken overnight.

If played right, an ethical network marketing company that is built around bitcoin has the opportunity to become very popular.

It can also accelerate the popularity and use of bitcoin.

A lot of the members from the US are still waiting to get their money back from their investments. That includes myself.

Like in most cases, when the FTC strikes on an MLM company, it suffers in the credibility department. This is extremely unfortunate because it was a really good bitcoin opportunity and the owners did a superb job of making public appearances and putting themselves out there.

If you’re in Europe or Asia I would still recommend this business opportunity. Unfortunately for us investors in the US, this opportunity has come and gone.

Closing Thoughts on Bitcoin MLMs

The thing I love most about these opportunities is the chance to make some commissions from a business model that enhance one’s bitcoin investment portfolio.

However, I think it’s important that you have prior experience with winning in the network marketing space because it isn’t easy.

IMO, years after being in network marketing myself, I believe you need to be able to generate a massive amount of leads for yourself.

It takes one of the following scales to do this at the level you’ll need to succeed:

• you need to have confidence in your sales ability and always be willing to prospect people. This includes creating conversations with people you don’t really know
• be okay with pitching to family and friends
• you’ve already built a brand personally on social media
• understand how to rank on Google for either the name of the MLM or relevant keywords

A problem that a lot of people have is the fact that the constant pursuit of prospects is not a fun or easy task.

If this is you, then the MLM business model might not be the thing for you.

At some point you will run out of friends and family to talk to (it’s also very awkward prospecting them) and you’ll have to recruit people you don’t know.

The better option IMO is knowing how to generate free traffic to your opportunity. This can be done by ranking websites on Google for example.

Actually that’s the skill I’ve used to fuel my lead generation business that’s been making me reliable income almost on auto-pilot.

The issue that a lot of people run into is that Google has made it a pretty tough task to rank if you’re a complete noob.

Since MLM are built on the idea that the members do all of the marketing, most times they also lack the proper training on how to keep your sales pipeline full.

I get it, they don’t want to scare potential recruits away by telling them just how hard it can be to run a successful network marketing business.

The first thing you’ll be suggested to do is reaching out to your friends and family but ask yourself if that’s really a sustainable business model.

If you ask 20 people that you’re close with and 2 of them decide to do it, you’ll get maybe a couple hundred dollars for it.

But then what?

You’ve gone through all the contacts that you’re close with, we call them warm leads.

At this point you’ll have to start generating your own leads.

That’s the biggest reason why most people don’t have a chance to win with network marketing. They don’t know how to generate leads.

I’ve done tons and tons of research on online business opportunities over the years because I’m obsessed with it. It’s what I do and what I’ve been very successful with.

It is paramount that as an online business owner you understand how to direct people to your opportunity.

There are really two ways to do this in the digital space. Paid traffic or free traffic.

I don’t know about you but the word free really gets me excited.

An example of paid traffic would be Google Ads or FB advertising. These things aren’t cheap especially if you have little to no experience with online advertising.

You can piss away a lot of money in short order if you aren’t careful.

Paid traffic can drive traffic a lot quicker. But IMO free traffic is the way to go. It takes more time but it makes more sense when you think about the long term.

Honestly, you landed on this page because of my ability to do SEO and drive traffic to a website.

Power.

And it isn’t as difficult as people think, you just have to be willing to learn the skills.

Now, I wouldn’t recommend try to rank for keywords that are associated with MLM companies or any national presence for that matter.

That’s a different beast.

This is why utilize local lead generation in my own business. Local is so much easier to rank for with less competition and it’s a very lucrative opportunity.

For example, I make $1,500/mo from one of my roofing clients and I haven’t touched the website in almost a year.

I’ve used this model to build my first business that does multiple six figures a year. I work from home, I’m my own boss and I take as many vacations as I want.

I don’t have to worry about companies like MLMs shutting down because of investigations by the FTC. I own my websites, they’re virtual assets much like physical real estate.

I simply find business owners to be my “tenants.”

I get to keep about 100% of my profits and I’m not selling anything for anyone else.

I don’t make uncomfortable sales pitches to my friends and family.

I recommend you checking out the lead gen biz model that’s gotten me to where I am today. It completely changed my life, it’s an ethical business practice and it’s built for long term success.

When I got involved with network marketing back in late 2012 I was introduced to the Secret by Bob Proctor and the idea of the law of attraction.

Eventually I came across Abraham Hicks’ videos which has to do with Esther Hicks who channels a nonphysical being with her husband, Jerry Hicks, by her side. Jerry had passed away in 2011.

Esther has been around the world doing seminars, workshops and cruises but has her teaching really helped?

I must admit, 7 years later in 2019 my life is amazing. I found the lead gen business model and it has taken my income level to places I never thought possible before 2012.

I’m my own boss, take as many vacations as I want and my friends and family are constantly amazed by my increasing income.

But before 2012 (around the same time I came across Hicks), my life wasn’t like this. I’m from a middle class family that always looked at money in a negative light.

And I never thought I could make even six figures a year because nobody in my life was.

So did Hicks truly have an effect in my life and play a part in where I’m at today?

These are my thoughts.

In 2012 I was a college freshman and shortly after the start of the school year I was introduced to a network marketing opportunity. I soon got into personal development and the first two things I learned about were the Secret and the law of attraction.

There I was, a guy who never thought I could accomplish financial dreams, being introduced to the idea that I could manifest whatever I wanted in life.

Needless to say, I truly felt like I’d found the “secret” that nobody knew about.

Honestly, I turned into somewhat of a junkie. I was going to college and all I could think about was how I was manifesting my future by watching a ton of videos.

I began skipping classes because I suddenly knew my future. If I thought about it enough, my goals would be accomplished with network marketing as my vehicle.

They were essentially feel good videos that got my all hyped up. Which wasn’t hard when I was an 18.

I was watching countless videos, listening to just as many audios and putting my goals on paper (to visualize which I still do today).

Abraham’s teachings revolve around your vortex and aligning with source. Once you’ve done it, all your dreams will manifest themselves.

Sounds crazy?

I would constantly put effort into making sure my thoughts remained positive. But did it work?

Let’s take a deeper look at my story over the last 7 years.

Did Abraham’s Teachings Work for Me?

As a young college kid I had two things in mind that many other guys in college want to get better with.

Money and women.

Full disclosure, looking back over the last 7 years of my life I would say the law of attraction only played a small part in my success.

I actually noticed some negative things that entered my life when I was consumed by law of attraction thinking.

I said before I stopped going to class in college because I felt that my dreams would manifest no matter what even if I didn’t show up to class.

This post is not to push a college degree, in fact I never finished.

Time went on in my network marketing career and my results weren’t where I wanted them to be despite my effort to visualize.

I was so early on in my entrepreneurial career that I didn’t realize that positive thinking was only a small portion of what’s required for success.

I didn’t have the skills to pair with it, which I later figured out. I wasn’t bringing any value to the marketplace.

Don’t get me wrong, I definitely see the value in becoming aware of your thoughts and it is necessary.

But IMO you don’t have to consistently visualize the things you want to be able to achieve them. You need skills and you need to work.

My life today is fantastic and I haven’t been doing more than minimal visualization for a long time.

There aren’t many successful people I know that talk like Hicks. How many do you know?

I’m assuming not many.

It’s called the New Age movement.

Was anyone that achieved success before this movement thinking about it? No.

Successful people have other things in common. They have skills and a work ethic that allow them to bring immense value to the world.

That’s a common theme.

You do need to be motivated to work hard and have belief that you can actually hit your goals and dreams. That is absolutely needed.

Life isn’t easy. Let’s not kid ourselves. But accomplishing goals and dreams becomes a lot easier when you begin to and continue to develop skills. It takes time.

But I’ve never felt a better feeling than knowing I bring enough value to people to be able to scale my income.

The important thing to remember is that nothing is easy and just be careful with Hicks’ teachings because in some ways it breeds the mentality that it’s easy.

Good & Bad of Hicks’ Material

Listen, I didn’t have a lot of life experience back when I was introduced to this thinking at age 18.

Now when I consume content like this I’m able to look at it differently and rationalize the information that I’m consuming.

I absolutely had confirmation bias back in 2012.

I wanted to believe everything was true because I wanted it to be that easy. I wanted to accomplish all of my goals immediately but I didn’t realize all of the skills I needed to acquire before I could bring the necessary value.

I only wanted to hear that it was true. I only consumed the content that was recognizing these thoughts in a positive way.

I’m not trying to throw shade on the law of attraction because it has had some positive effects on my life. Like I said I believe it played a small part on where I’m at today.

All of my personal development work has in fact.

But it took me years and experience in life to recognize this.

When I hear Abraham’s message today, there are still things that I like and relate to. But other things I just chuckle at and don’t want anything to do with.

Mind you, this is coming from a guy who has accomplished many of the things I wanted to back in 2012. But it’s taken me 7 years and I still have so much more that I want to do.

This isn’t a bitter review about the law of attraction. I went through that phase, accomplished many things years later and now I can come back to it with a better perspective.

I’d like to give you some of the good and the bad of what Abraham teaches:

Good

• motivation and inspiration (greatly needed)
• guide you to other personal development teaches/mentors (this is my favorite)
• self-awareness
• benefiting from a mindset of gratitude

Bad

• level of arrogance (it turns you into someone that thinks they’ve figured things out when often times you still have nothing to show for it, not a good look)
• can create a distant relationship with people close to you
• our thinking is the reason that bad things will happen to us (this is just asinine)

I think the best thing that came from this phase for me was it leading to me learning about the subconscious mind. This was a huge positive in my personal development.

It’s important to note that the mind is not the casual point of our experience. At least this is what I believe today.

I believe it’s our emotional body that has the biggest impact on human life.

This refers to how our minds have been programmed from our landscape at an early age. Our parents, their relationship and our early childhood.

These all have great impacts on us.

For example, people that have a traumatic childhood and carry these negative experiences through the rest of their lives. Often times these people don’t even realize it.

If you’re like me you can wrap your head around this a lot easier. It gave me something to work with. I could then realize how my childhood has impacted my life either in a negative or positive way.

It allows me to think about what I need to change in order to change how my life plays out.

It’s not the positive thinking that truly needs to change, it’s looking deeper into things that impact your life in a negative fashion.

When you begin changing those, then you will start to see positive changes in your life.

The person you are now, and the person that achieves all of your goals and dreams are truly two different people.

I began to look at these negatives frequently as they showed themselves. In the past I would simply ignore them and look the other way.

They refer to it was “holding it with loving awareness like a newborn child.”

It’s called inner child work.

So how do you approach healing trauma? I still do it from time to time so I’ll share with you what I’ve found useful.

• Scott Kiloby
• Eliza Mada Dalian
• Ho’oponopono

IMO you should check out Scott Kiloby. His story is very engaging.

He was addicted to all of the stereotypical negatives in our lives.

Drugs. Gambling. Everything else.

A brief summary of his story would be that he used the power of conscious thinking through “non-attached awareness.” Many people refer to it as nonduality to free himself of his addictions.

Years later he now operates a drug recovery center. He helps people break themselves free of the same negativity he experienced in his own life. He uses the same principles that worked for him among others.

These results are tangible. We can see that methods just like this actually prove how powerful our mind is.

My Life After the Personal Development Phase

So clearly there was a time in my life where I was heavily into these introspection’s and teachings.

They became a part of me. Now I do things that I didn’t do before and it’s automatic. I don’t consciously think about it anymore.

We all need to improve our mentality and get head’s right. I am a huge promoter of that.

One by one I worked on parts of my life that I wasn’t happy with instead of running away from them.

My financial freedom has always been high on my mind and I was never happy with where I was at but I never did anything about it, I just dwelled on it.

I continued to work that 9 to 5 job and I was lucky if I made $30k in a year.

I had much larger aspirations than that. Some of them I still haven’t reached.

Since I had an entrepreneurial background I began looking on the internet for different business models that I could start as a side hustle and eventually scale to accomplish my goal of financial freedom.

I happened to stumble upon a mentor with a coaching program teaching his students how to generate leads for local small businesses all across the country.

It just really made sense to me. I talked to him on the phone and he gave me some case studies to look at too. It made too much sense.

At the time he was making around $35k/mo which was obviously very desirable for me as I was lucky to make that in a year.

I got back on the phone with him and told him I was in.

In his program he taught me skills that made me extremely valuable to business owners. When I first got in I didn’t really see that because I had so much information at my disposal.

As I started to work at it and put it all together I started to really understand the power of the model. 3 short months later I quit my job and went full time.

After three months and a valuable skill learned I was able to accomplish a big goal of mine. Getting out of the 9 to 5 grind and working for myself and my own dreams.

I had my mindset in place already so when I got into the program I put my head down and worked hard. I soaked in every bit of information he gave me.

When you make your first dollar online it gives you an extreme level of confidence in your abilities. I understood that if I kept replicating this simple process then my income potential would be sky high.

Oh and those beautiful 90%+ profit margins. I get to keep most of the money that goes in my pocket. Except for what Uncle Sam takes.

My life changed rapidly. Fast forward to now and I’m increasing my income on a monthly basis. I’ve mastered the process that my mentor taught me and I bring value at a high level.

I’ve been on a magical journey ever since. Not to sound cheesey. Some days I have to pinch myself because this is what I wanted back in 2012 and today it’s my reality thanks to this lead generation coaching program.

I’m now making over $50k/mo with my lead gen biz.

My friends and family can’t even believe the progress I’ve made with my financial goals. The important thing to remember is that I’ve changed the person I am over the last 7 years.

That person couldn’t make what I’m making today. No chance.

I’ve achieved goals of mine like being my own boss, taking vacations whenever and wherever I want and a steady cash flow that’s has transformed my lifestyle.

In my mind, changing your mindset means increasing your self-awareness and continuing to improve the value you bring to the marketplace through your skill set.

Life is all about going through positives and negatives. We all know that. But remember that you can find massive growth in the negatives. You just have to be aware of them and figure out how to change those negatives into positives. We have to embrace the uncomfortable negatives that we all come across in our lives.

Here’s something to think about.

What if everyone out there could use the “secret” and the law of attraction to manifest whatever they wanted, when they wanted? Everyone and their mother would be millionaires and that’s simply not the case.

Instead, let’s look at some common themes mentioned by millionaires:

• dedication
• work ethic
• determination
• working on a skill for extended time

There will be negatives that impact all of our journey’s but will we do with them? Run from them or attack them with intensity?

I learned to do the latter.

I changed the person I am and I have that to thank for successes I’ve achieved.

The law of attraction is fine, I agree with some parts of it but it’s a mistake to think that things will be given to you. It doesn’t work like that.

Fast forward 7 years later and I’m happy that it doesn’t work like that because I wouldn’t have an immense feeling of accomplishment like I do today.

Take me as living, breathing proof.

You need skills that bring value to the market.

You need to couple it with an attack plan or strategy.

And go find someone whose done it, a mentor, if you want to do it as quickly as possible.

I always respect when a person acts like themselves when in the public eye, and that’s Wesley Virgin. He’s an Instagram phenom and from all his accounts he pulls in at least $100k daily.

I love motivators and that’s exactly what Wesley is. I really enjoy listening to people speak and getting the feeling that I would go to war (business war of course) with them. That’s how I connect with people that speak in this space.

He has a handful of courses that he’s put out there to teach people what it takes to make a lot of money online and improve their lifestyles just like he did his own.

In this post we’re going to dive into what you can expect to learn from the one they call the “Billion Dollar” Virgin.

Wesley Virgin’s Initial Success Was Initiated By Clickbank

Clickbank is basically heaven for people who do affiliate marketing. It’s a place where marketers can go to find digital products that can be sold on their own sites for commissions.

If you ever visit the site and scroll through the different categories you can see that they have almost every niche you can imagine.

Let’s take this example, if you had a blog that was about dancing then you could come over to Clickbank and monetize your blog.

You could take a digital product about dancing and place it on your blog and you would get a commission for every time one of your visitors bought the product.

It’s a beautiful thing because you already know that all of your readers are really interested in dancing so you’re bound to get some sales.

Back to Wesley, he realized that he couldn’t reach his financial goals as just a personal trainer because there were only so many clients he could train in a given day.

He ended up taking an online course about how to generate income creating his own courses.

The first course he created was called Fat Diminisher. He put the product on Clickbank and it took off!

It’s important to remember that he has something going for him and it’s him. He has great energy and he is a really charismatic guy. So his personality had a lot to do with the product selling.

Wesley was a very experienced and passionate trainer at the time, but the digital product allowed him to share his training with so many more people at one time.

He was able to scale his personal training at an infinite level.

And then something else happened which compounded his success with Fat Diminisher.

There were a couple of guys out there that took notice to how well Wesley’s products converted. Their names were Rob Jones and Gerry Cramer.

They developed a training to teach people how to promote Clickbank products and they actually decided to choose Wesley’s Fat Diminisher in their training.

Their students started to do the same, and in the process thousands upon thousands of dollars started to be spent on Fat Diminisher advertisements on the FB platform.

At this time, Wesley’s finances really started to blow up.

I know all of these things because I was there. I was one of the students in Jones’ and Cramer’s program.

The varying performance in Facebook ads makes it difficult to generate consistent income as an affiliate here, though I did make some money doing it.

Also, Facebook hates affiliate marketing and we were constantly dealing with accounts getting shut down.

Wesley needs to be given credit for what he was able to do. I respect his ability to create videos people loved and successful email marketing for his products. They seem to convert a hell of a lot better than other weight loss products out there.

And this is the secret. The conversion rate. When you’re dealing with an information product you want your conversions to be sky high because it’ll make affiliate marketers want to promote your products.

So let’s discuss what it takes to succeed like Wesley did and if you can do the same by using Clickbank.

It’s actually a hard question to answer and I’ll tell you why. There are so many different factors that can play into how well your product converts.

If you can’t figure out how to make the product convert then affiliates won’t waste their time promoting your stuff. Period.

You must find a way to present and deliver a lot of value to your customers.

Wesley had his experience as a fitness trainer so he knew what people needed to hear before he even built his digital information product.

If you think you can handle creating a new information product that can bring a ton of value to the marketplace then I would say go for it. Take Wesley’s course and run with it.

It might bring you a few thousand dollars a month in additional income.

But if you’ve got your eye on Wesley’s $100k/mo income level…

Well, that’s another level entirely my friend. Let’s consider that there was some luck involved in Wesley’s case. He only started to blow up when a host of students from a training course decided to spend their own money on advertisements for his product.

The odds of something like this happening to you are almost zero. I don’t think it’s a realistic goal to shoot for.

The best products on Clickbank do an excellent job of marketing, creating videos to help with conversions and have upsells intertwined in there.

But when you look at it they don’t have a ton of affiliates associated with their product.

Almost makes a person wonder if his “luck” was actual a back end result of his mind hacks.

Let’s actually look into his mind hacks and see what that’s all about.

Reviewing 7 Millionaire Mind Hacks

One of my favorite sayings of all time is, “for things to change, you must change.” I first heard this from Jim Rohn when I was 18 and it opened my eyes.

Wesley has definitely taken personal development from teachings of other coaches that I’ve followed in the past.

He covers several different topics:

• law of attraction
• subconscious mind programming
• visualization
• affirmations
• meditation

He titled this program, The Overnight Millionaire Mind-Hacks.

He charged a measly $7 for this program. He’s clearly begging people to start their own personal development journey.

While changing your mindset is very important to success, it simply wasn’t enough for me. And I think it’s important to point that out.

In the program he has you listen to tapes that will “alter your subconscious mind.” Visualization is also a huge part of it.

I said changing my mindset wasn’t enough for me and I realized it was because I didn’t have skill sets that could get me to the income level I desired.

But Wesley has them. No doubt about that. It’s not all luck.

He’s got a high energy level and is charismatic which makes people want to listen to him. That’s a skill that has extreme value.

He’s also implemented plenty of upsells over the years. Which can obviously increase sales dramatically if done right.

Over the years he has aligned himself with business models such as the one used by Russel Brunson, among other funnelers.

The idea behind sales funnels is to attack all three levels of buyers that you come across in sales:

Low ticket buyers. Medium-tier buyers. High-ticket buyers.

The idea of a sales funnel is to first get people into the funnel. You create a low ticket entry point below $10. Then you slowly present them products that rise in price and suddenly you’re covering all the bases.

From people with little money all the way up to selling to the rich.

Listen, I’m a big believer in mindset. I still spend a lot of my free time continuing to develop my mindset. But high income skills are equally as important.

I think people may find more value in Wesley’s other course..

The Online Millionaire Mastery

The Online Millionaire Mastery shows students how Wesley created success for himself with Fat Diminisher.

The course will go over things like:

• writing great copy
• creating the product
• how he built his case study website which made him over six figures
• how he got traffic (affiliates)

Challenges with Selling on Clickbank

Let’s talk about about some of the obstacles and hurdles one will come across with this business model and why I felt like this lead generation coaching program was a lot better for someone like me.

I had no marketing experience and yet I’ve still been able to produce a reliable stream of income and quit my job after only three months.

A few challenges with Wesley’s approach:

• you don’t have a special background to create a product (Wesley’s fitness training background)
• you do have a special background but it’s in too small of a niche (weight loss and fitness is one of the biggest niches in the world)
• you aren’t good in front of a camera

Honestly, if your information product just sucks and doesn’t bring desirable results to customers then you’re in trouble.

So you might be thinking, “I don’t have any real value to bring to the marketplace.”

You have to realize that you will only see success selling an information digital product if you can specialize and bring value to people in one area of their life and solve a massive problem for them.

If your product doesn’t solve a problem and set itself a part from other products then it won’t see the level of success that Wesley’s did.

The Lead Generation Business – Why I’m All In On It

Let me say this. I’m all about changing your mindset. I do believe that it’s the first step in realizing financial goals and dreams.

But I think acting like that alone will change your life is a mistake. You can visualize all you want but until you have a skill that brings value to the market, you’ll be stuck where you’re at.

I’ve experienced it firsthand, I first heard about the law of attraction back in 2012 when I got into network marketing.

It was my first entrepreneurial experience and I became heavily focused on changing my mindset. But nothing happened.

I made very little money. Why?

A few years later I realized it was because I wasn’t bringing value to the marketplace. I had no skills. I wasn’t even a good salesman at the time.

It wasn’t until I found the lead gen coaching program that I actually developed a high income skill set and began making money rather quickly.

It took me only three months to quit my 9 to 5 and regain my freedom. I had the mindset for years. But it wasn’t until I put a skill set to use that people wanted to pay me.

That allowed me to finally go into business for myself.

I developed the skills to assist small business owners grow their business.

There are so many small business owners out there that are old school, they’re focused on running their business (as they should be) and they don’t spend enough time dominating their internet presence.

There is so much business to be earned on the internet these days. People are always using their phones to locate businesses who have what they want.

The real problem is even if they want to increase their presence online they don’t know how. Most of them didn’t grow up in the age of the internet.
